Information for Candidates and Voters

The 2018 general local election for the Town of Lake Cowichan will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 for eligible voters to elect the following:
  • One (1) Mayor for the Town of Lake Cowichan; and
  • Four (4) Councillors for the Town of Lake Cowichan.
  • Seven (7) School Board Trustees for the Cowichan Valley School District - School District 79.

Two advance voting opportunities will also be provided for citizens prior to the General Election Day.

Nomination Documents for Candidates

Nomination document forms will be available in the summer of 2018.

Completed nomination documents must be delivered to the Chief Election Officer, or designate at the Town Office at 39 South Shore Road, Lake Cowichan, BC. during regular business hours. The nomination period begins at 9:00 a.m. local time on September 4, 2018 and ends at 4:00 p.m. local time on September 14, 2018. Late nominations will not be accepted
