Visitor Center

The Cowichan Lake Tourist Visitor Centre is housed in a beautiful log cabin at Saywell Park in the heart of the Town of Lake Cowichan. Behind the infocentre are the Kaatza Station Museum and Historic Bell Tower School. Ample parking and a covered picnic area are available for the use of both residents and visitors alike. Saywell Park is adjacent to the Cowichan River.

The Cowichan Lake District Chamber of Commerce now through a fee for service contract with the Town of Lake Cowichan operates the Visitor Centre. Our Visitor Centre is stocked with ferry, bus and train schedules as well as local, Vancouver Island and B.C. brochures. When we are not open these brochures are also available at the Town Office, service stations, convenience stores, the newspaper office, and realty offices through out the Cowichan Lake area. As well, information is avalible at the static kiosk in Saywell Park
